Challenging

I like what Dave is doing with books over on his blog, and while I'm not going to copy him (directly, anyway), I'm trying to keep a running list of books in/out, at least (yes, a la Hornby and Duff, now that you mention it). My first book of 2009 was Girls in Trucks, which I originally saw over on jennsylvania. I enjoyed the book for the most part, but I thought the shifting narrative perspective was distracting at its best and confusing at its worst. It was a quick read, but was essentially chick lit trying to be more and failing. My final determination: Meh.
