Reason to celebrate

In honor of Record Store Day yesterday, J.R. and I hit Silver Platters for some new music. (It's a decent store, but it's no Newbury Comics.) I support any kind of celebration that involves spending money on CDs. I did my part and got the new Tristan Prettyman, Hello...x, and Stand Still, Look Pretty by the Wreckers. The latter was inspired, believe it or not, by a song I heard at the elementary school talent show on Friday. Yeah, I can't believe it either, but I'd never heard of the Wreckers, despite featuring Michelle Branch and being my exact flavor of country. Bygones. I have it now, don't I? And I love it, as well as my new Tristan Prettyman. (Though I don't really like the title -- who puts an ellipsis in their album name? I ask you.)
