Gratitude

I give thanks for JetBlue miles and Alaska Airline's reasonable prices. I give thanks for unemployment, allowing me to spend week on the East Coast. I give thanks for family and friends making space in their calendars for us, and space in their guest rooms. I give thanks to Melanie for driving us to pick up our rental car away from the hideous city prices. I give thanks to NBC for making the Pats the night game so I can watch it in enemy territory. I give thanks for JR checking the big bag so I don't have to shove everything in carry-on. I give thanks for all my loyal readers who will come back after I'm away for over a week. But mostly, I give thanks for Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday, our national day of eating, and the day when I eat more mashed potatoes than thought humanly possible. Eat up, people.
