Essence of gelfling

Last night, J.R. and I watched the Dark Crystal with the kids. We pretended it was a treat for them; really, I just wanted to see it again since it freaked me right out as a child. I gotta say, when they suck the essence out of the little creatures, it's still pretty freaky. And the portrayal of the Skeksis is creepy as hell. I was convinced I was going to have fevered dreams of those beetle-creatures, but luckily, NyQuil makes for a nice, peaceful sleep with absolutely no Jim Henson weirdness. Maybe we should watch Labyrinth tonight, and make it two for two.
