I feel like all I'm doing lately is watching TV. If they wouldn't start so many damn good new shows, I'd have more time for important things, like blogging. Last night was the premiere of Lost, and you know I'm on top of that crazy shit. (I particularly enjoyed the Stephen King selection for the freaky Others' book club.) I stuck around after to see the Nine, and damn if it wasn't good, too. I've always loved me some Tim Daly, and you sure as hell can't go wrong with Scott Wolf, so I'm following this one til the end. (For some reason, though, I don't like Kim Raver. Maybe it's because she was so annoying on 24? I don't know. I'm willing to overlook her, though, if they can keep up the taunt storylines.)
And tonight I finally watched my tape of Friday Night Lights. (It just had to be on opposite the Gilmore Girls, didn't it?) I have to say, I'm impressed with the initial razzle-dazzle, and I've loved Kyle Chandler since he was in Homefront. I'm interested to see how this will play out over an entire season, though, because as it is, they are keeping you at a certain distance from the characters with the whole documentary feel. If we're going to care, they're going to have to let us closer. (Though I already care a little; I almost cried when the QB went down.)
Since I like all these new shows, a good portion of them must be doomed. I just don't want to know which ones.
