It's surprising sometimes what you get used to. Watching the Sox game tonight, NESN, for some reason, lost its ticker. I didn't know at a glance the pitch count, what runners were where, how many outs had been recorded, or how many runs had scored. As the game went on, I tried keeping track in my head but met with minimal success. (Especially with the pitch count. I never got that right.) I was never so happy as when that little strip of information came back on the screen.
I think I need a ticker for my life. I keep losing track of the details -- days gone by, years scored, if there are any runners on base, how many strikes I'm dealing with. How am I ever going to win the game like this?
