A whole new year

I've started the year with some extended time away from the blog, the e-mail, and the internet in general (although I did look at some wedding dresses online), and it has been relatively good, if a little strange. Sorry to disappear without warning, but it was Christmas, and the family was in town, and it turns out my little sister got asked the big question this holiday season, so things have been a little hectic in these here parts. I'm really happy for my little sister, but it's beyond bizarre that my little sister is getting married. It's just, well, incomprehensible. And to complicate matters further, she left this morning for Florida. My baby sister is getting married and moving far away all at the same time. For those of you keeping track at home, I'm not dealing well.
