When I got home last night, I was just happy to be free for a little while to think about things that weren't writing or blogging or getting a quote from some Very Important Person. I tore through an advance copy of Alicia Erian's Towelhead. (Sidebar: Alicia Erian is so cool and I totally geeked out on her, which directly lead to the aforementioned advance copy, signed.) I don't know if I should be talking about it, so I'll leave it at a very succinct "damn good." Make a note for April.
I finished it relatively early in evening (as I said, it was a fast read), and, as nothing was on TV, I didn't know what to do with myself. My roommate was scrubbing the shower, so clearly cleaning the bathroom was already taken. I decided to begin the great bookshelf realignment of 2004. I proceeded to lug an empty bookshelf into my room, move another bookshelf (with the books still in it), and then shift everything into the new world order. I had to remove my beloved bulletin board in the process, which I'm still not sure if I'm okay with. Once the new bookshelf was in place, and I put all the books away, I decided I didn't really like it. But what are you going to do? It give me way more shelf room, which I desperately needed.
I still had time left in my night, so ... I finished reading another book. Wil Wheaton's Just a Geek got shelved last night as well, and what a long, strange, and wonderful trip that was. I feel like I will have more to say about it, but now I've got to go pick up my dad at the airport.
